Last updated: 21 September 2026
This document is provided in English. If any translation of it is made available, the English version prevails.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an electronic record and a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of Naatil.com (Section 2). They govern your access to and use of the Naatil.com website, the Naatil mobile application and all related services (together, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, listing a business or placing an order, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Who Operates the Platform
The Platform is operated by THOMPSON CONSULTING (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED(“Naatil”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Correspondence address: A5, S. No. 16/2, First Floor, Swapnamandir Society, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune City, Pune — 411004, Maharashtra, India. Contact: info@naatil.com.
Naatil is a community platform for Kerala providing a local business directory, news (“Naatil Vartha”), transport information and other local utilities, in English and Malayalam. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any feature of the Platform at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to create an account or transact on the Platform. By using the Platform you represent that you meet these requirements. If you use the Platform on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.
4. Your Account
- You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering, and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at info@naatil.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
- One person may not maintain multiple customer accounts for abusive purposes, and accounts may not be sold or transferred.
- You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is permanent; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law of India;
- post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening, infringing or otherwise objectionable;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a business;
- scrape, harvest or bulk-download data from the Platform, or use it to build a competing directory, without our written permission;
- interfere with or disrupt the Platform, probe or breach its security, or attempt to access accounts or systems you are not authorised to access;
- upload viruses, malware or any code designed to harm the Platform or its users;
- use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited communications.
We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section (see Section 14).
6. User-Generated Content (Reviews and Listings)
The Platform lets you submit content such as reviews, ratings, business listings, descriptions and photos (“User Content”).
- Your licence to us. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Naatil a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, publish and distribute that content on and in connection with the Platform, including in search results and promotional surfaces for the Platform.
- Your responsibility.You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that you own it or have the necessary rights to it, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it does not violate any law or any third party’s rights.
- Reviews.Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Fake reviews, paid or incentivised reviews without disclosure, review manipulation, and reviews of your own business (or a competitor’s business posted in bad faith) are prohibited.
- Reporting and removal. Reviews and other content may be reported by users or businesses. We may — but are not obliged to — review, moderate, edit for formatting, refuse or remove any User Content at our discretion, including content we believe violates these Terms or applicable law, without notice.
- After deletion.If you delete your account, published reviews may remain on the Platform in anonymised form attributed to “Deleted User”.
7. Business Listings and Information Accuracy
The Platform contains business listings, contact details, opening hours, transport schedules, rates (such as fuel and gold prices), news and other local information that is submitted by business owners and users or compiled from third-party sources. Naatil is a directory and information service. A listing or phone claim is not an endorsement or a guarantee of business quality, safety, licensing or information accuracy, and we are not a party to any dealing between you and a listed business.
- Business owners are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings and for holding any licences required to offer their services.
- Information may be out of date or incorrect; always confirm critical details (timings, prices, availability) directly with the business or authority concerned.
- We may edit, reject, unpublish or remove any listing at our discretion.
- Sources, phone claims, editorial checks, ratings and correction requests are explained in our listing and editorial policy.
8. Payments, Orders and Refunds
- Naatil does not process payments and never holds your money.Where online payment is offered, you pay the business (merchant) directly via UPI to the merchant’s own UPI ID using your UPI app; otherwise you pay the merchant at the counter or on delivery. Naatil records only order and payment status — never your card, bank or UPI credentials.
- Orders and appointments placed through the Platform are contracts between you and the relevant business (merchant), not with Naatil. The merchant is responsible for fulfilling the order and for the quality of goods and services supplied.
- Refunds, cancellations and returns are handled by the merchantunder the merchant’s own policy and applicable consumer law. Because payment is made directly to the merchant’s UPI, any agreed or required refund is paid back to you by the merchant directly; Naatil marks such orders as refund-due but is not a party to the payment.
- Businesses may purchase promotional placements (such as “Featured”) from Naatil by UPI transfer to Naatil’s published UPI ID; activation occurs after manual verification of the payment. Such fees are non-refundable once the placement is activated, except as required by law.
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless stated otherwise and may include or exclude taxes as indicated by the merchant.
- We may suspend payment features, or refuse or cancel a transaction, where we suspect fraud or abuse.
9. Intellectual Property
The Platform — including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and the “Naatil” name and marks — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws of India. Except for User Content you own and the limited right to use the Platform for its intended purpose, no rights in the Platform are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer or create derivative works of the Platform except as permitted by law.
If you believe content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property, notify us at info@naatil.com with details of the work and the allegedly infringing material.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
The Platform integrates third-party services (such as Google sign-in, Google Maps and WhatsApp) and may link to external websites. These are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform and all content on it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that information on it (including listings, news, transport and rate information) is accurate or complete.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: (a) Naatil, its owners, directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data, arising out of or in connection with the Platform or these Terms; (b) we are not liable for the acts, omissions, goods or services of any business listed on the Platform or of any user; and (c) our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of INR 1,000 or the amount of platform fees (if any) you paid to Naatil in the six months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Naatil, its owners, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Platform; (c) your breach of these Terms or of any law; or (d) your violation of any third party’s rights, including in dealings between you and a listed business.
14. Suspension and Termination
- You may stop using the Platform at any time and may delete your account from the Settings page.
- We may suspend or terminate your account or access, remove your content, or restrict features — with or without notice — if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Platform or its users.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including licences to published content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) survive.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be notified on the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Platform and delete your account.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory provisions of applicable law, the courts at Kerala, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.
